The French Government has promoted a nationwide lottery for many years and during the 1930’s they relied on the artist Derouet to create many of their most popular posters. In this particular image we see the winner joyously celebrating his win by holding up multiple 1000 Franc bills. Please note the art deco influence in the design.

This piece is framed with a silver leafed frame with molding made in France.
