About COCOCO Home
Who We Are: Steve & Danielle Sechrest and their partner, Gary Mangione founded The Comfortable Couch Company (COCOCO) after identifying a growing consumer desire for top quality American-made furniture, at affordable prices. Today, our remarkably comfortable furniture is bench-made in our own small plant in Newton, North Carolina by experienced craftsmen and women using the best materials and time tested techniques. COCOCO offers a complete line of sofas, sectionals, chairs, ottomans and benches, and even beds, with timeless styling in either full grain leathers or fine fabrics.
Our Furniture: Many of our pieces are very similar to the styles offered by large corporate retailers like Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel. In many cases, these large retailers have shifted their furniture production from its historical home in North Carolina’s furniture belt to huge factory cities in China. Cheaper production quality and costs put more money in the pockets of these retail giants. You can help support quality American manufacturing by purchasing your key furniture pieces from us – The Comfortable Couch Company.
Customer Care: We’ll never be a volume dealer. We cling to the old-fashioned values that allow us to craft each piece of furniture exclusively for its intended owner – you. In addition to our website, you can visit our showroom – located in an old cotton mill in Cornelius, North Carolina. We’ve attracted loyal customers from throughout the Carolinas and across the United States. We typically attract the type of customer who wants the kind of quality furniture North Carolinians have made for generations. Our reputation for friendly and dependable customer service is evident from time you decide to place an order. You deal directly with the folks who are crafting your furniture. A guiding principle behind our furniture is our dedication to the best quality materials available – kiln dried American hardwood frames, high-end spring systems, down-filled cushions, quality leathers and fine fabrics. We use these quality materials to produce the very best furniture money can buy – at affordable, factory direct pricing. How do we do it? We keep our overhead low and we keep our business focused and simple. We’ll never offer dozens and dozens of styles – but we will offer the choice of today’s most popular classic styles in a selection of versatile pieces.
